Kiss of the Century?

THE KISS

It's double happiness for William and Kate, who kiss not once but twice on the balcony at Buckingham Palace – much to the delight of the crowd gathered below. William's mum and dad shared their first public kiss at the same spot 30 years earlier.

I'd consider this the kiss of the century.. or shall I say kisses as they did twice to the delight of the crowd. Did I say the bride and groom are beautiful and handsome but that's another story. But I can't help to notice Will's balding head and yet Kate is very far from top anti aging products.

The Royal Invite

With its gold lettering and gilded edge, this stiff white card has been arriving in the mailboxes of some of the best-connected people around the world.

It's the invitation heralding the wedding of William" and Kate Middleton, and it's gone
out to 1,900 people, from kings to charity leaders, to close family and university friends, old schoolmates and prime ministers around
the world.

Fittingly for the celebration, it is decorated in gold writing and emblazed with a matching insignia of William's
grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, in whose name the invitation is sent.

The edges of the card – which is about 10 in. by 6 in. – are beveled and then gilded.

The simple wording reads that the Lord Chamberlain has
been "commanded by the Queen" to invite the holder to the marriage at Westminster Abbey at 11 a.m. on April 29. As for the dress code, guests are asked to wear military uniform, a tailcoat or a business suit.

The invitations went out on Wednesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, 600 of the 1,900 guests also have been invited by the Queen to a reception that she is hosting immediately after the ceremony in the Abbey.

Later, around 300 of those 600 guests are invited to a
dinner hosted by William's father, Prince Charles, in the evening at Buckingham Palace.

Prince William's office is not releasing the invitations to those events, as they are private.

The couple is expected to stay in London that night, before starting
their honeymoon on April 30.

It looks simple enough but I guess, being royalty doesn't have to be all lofty. Simplicity is beauty in itself. What I'm sure is anyone who receives it will surely keep it safe and might become a collectable in the future. One of those things that people share in the Roadshow program. People who will flock the event wont bother to worry about lipozene reviews as I'm thinking, they would be busy enough mingling and just soak up the event. It only happens once or twice for Prince Harry.

Helping Out

CELEBRITY chef Jamie Oliver has sped up his arrival in the flood-ravaged city of Ipswich, offering free meals to 250 people a day.

Oliver's Ministry of Food kitchen in Ipswich, his first such centre in Australia, was due to open around March.

"Construction for the new Ministry of Food Ipswich was due to commence this week. However given the devastation to the local area, we've put those plans on hold for now to help get the community back on its feet," said program manager for the Ministry of Food Australia, Alicia Peardon.

The centre will be open for two weeks as a drop-in centre for the Ipswich community.

This is good news for the people of Ipswich. Food is really needed there especially for those people who still reside at the evacuation centre. Food cooked by a chef and for those 250 who can partake to this blessing, will not read the hydroxycut reviews anytime soon.

Joining the Hype

SWEET DEAL
Touring Australia is a piece of cake for Oprah Winfrey, who makes a surprise visit to an Australian family – and scores some sweets! – as she continues her Down Under adventure in Toorak on Friday.

I'm reluctant to say I am an Oprah fan but I feel the same to say that I am not. I'll just be in the middle. I watch O if I have time and the topic interests me but I don't sought it out. I don't check it out the net unlike insurance quotes.

But most of the telly stations (free to air, that is) has news about her in almost every news program. Might as well post one here. But that one nice sweet there, I reckon.

Royally Beautiful

ENGAGING
Prince William and Kate Middleton shared not one, but two official portraits by Mario Testino with the world.

I'm not really into royal news - gossip or not (is it better than playing with psp) but I thought, these photos are really good. Well, Wil's smile is really controlled unlike Kate's. More open. I suppose that's the royal smile. Not showing the laugh lines on the cheeks.

Sneak Peak

The Eagles are having a Summer Tour in land Down Under. I want to see it with Mcj but I have to convince him about it. It's a long way but I really want to see it.

Anyway, a sneak peak of maybe what will happen at the concert and to break the dullness of the day (and read the business credit reports).

Breaking the Record

THE Guinness World Record for the most number of people wearing superhero costumes in one location has been broken in Melbourne.
Melbourne smashed the previous record of 1091 people wearing super hero costumes in the one place held by the UK, when 1245 people gathered at Federation Square.

The CBD was no place for bad guys on Saturday with Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, the Green Lantern and other comic book heroes portrayed hundreds of times over by people of all ages, genders, shapes and sizes.

We would love to be part of this. My Half Man owns a spider man costume though the head mask is quite small for him. I'd concoct something like Alice in Wonderland. Can I do it? I suppose so. If it was in Brissie, I could drag Mcj even if I have to miss writing about the ls2208.

BUsted

I’m not a big fan of fake boobs although I admire those that are just proportionate to their body shape. I also admire the courage of those who wanted something over the top – gotta love the guts right?
Looks like, Nic has just hers done up. They said, when you got it, flaunt it. And flaunt it, she did.
It was in telly this week, women have their boobies done up really nice. A very lucrative business for cosmetic surgeries. And these days, they have implants up to 1000mm. I reckon, they would be too heavy that lifting fitness equipment is not necessary to shape up.

I’m Not Surprised

WOMEN are earning more than ever and climbing the ranks of corporate Australia in bigger numbers, but when it comes to managing their financial future their track record remains ordinary.
That is the bleak assessment of financial empowerment coach Linda Coates, who says: "There's probably still a significant number of women who choose to ignore [it and] don't really do much about it.

"Somewhere between 24 and 40, where we've got our career path in place, we've done our university, we're making some good money but we just don't find time to actually figure out how to make that money work for us while we are doing the working."

Coates, guest speaker at a seminar titled A Man is Not a Financial Plan scheduled in Sydney earlier this week, continues: "We get caught up with the marriage, kids and everything else, we then get [to] around 40 to 50 and some of life's things start to change for us. And then we get to the stage where we go, 'Hey, you know what? We really don't understand what all that money is doing for us at the moment.'"

This seems sound true to me. I’m adamant to admit but my husband would vouch that indeed, I can’t manage my financials. Sometimes, I tip up the scales for being a mouse but most of the times, I’m just being a spend-thrift. It all boils down to my love of shopping.

Wizarding and All

THE soon-to-be-opened Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park has been labelled "stunning" by gushing reviewers.
The $220m attraction at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, will officially open on June 18. But a group of VIP guests from around the world were lucky enough to be shown every detail of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogwarts and all.

Source
I’m into adventure movies but not something like Harry Potter – adventure but so out of this world. I haven’t finished watching one of the series yet and I’m not planning any time soon. I haven’t read any books either. Maybe, when I’m retired and there’s no book available to read I would pick up one. Though, I’m planning to buy books for collection purposes only and for my half man. But, if I ever be in Florida, I would certainly see the theme park. I’m not expecting to see modern office furniture yet, I would be delighted to see things in actual rather than in movies – then the child in me would maybe believe that some of the scenes did happen.

Just Checking

I don't want another baby YET! But I'm just checking out names. I'm surprised the name of my little boy is the most popular name in the country where his great great grand father came from. We just say it in English.
Country Girls' Name Boys' Name
Australia Ella Jack
Czech Republic Jana Jakub
Denmark Anne Jens
Finland Maria Juhani
France Clara Mathéo
Germany Sophie/Sofie Maximilian
Lithuania Emilia Matas
Mexico Maria Fernanda Miguel Angel
Scotland Sophie Lewis
Serbia Milica Nikola
South Korea Seo-Yeon Min-Jun

I'm glad that his name is unique so he doesn't have to use two names at school. It's a dilemna for some parents to get mixed up with the stuff they bring (no fat burners that work).

Men and Their DogS

Should I say, little dogs? What's with little ones anyhow? Maybe they're showing their soft side - it's a statement saying, I'm capable of handling little things like children? Lol.

MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY
When it comes to trainers, McConaughey's pup BJ is tops. Who knew such a short dog could have the energy to keep up with all those waterfront runs?

GERARD BUTLER
The sexiest Scotsman in show biz is rarely without pint-sized pug Lolita. Don't let her stature fool you, though: The pooch reportedly got into a scuffle with some greyhounds in New York last year.

For me it's already adorable to see men having pets. I can't be like them. I'm not really sure why - my love for animals and just skin deep. I would be sending them to a motorhome if I have one myself, though we have a big Russian cat. Mcj owned him and I haven't adopted him formally. :)

Rainbow Terminal

Something new and unique and China. I think, this is worth checking out when going there.

SHANGHAI has opened a new terminal at its domestic airport as China's second-largest city geared up to welcome tens of millions of visitors to the Expo 2010.

The government has spent $2.2 billion on the makeover of Hongqiao Airport, 35 minutes west of the city centre, and made it part of an ultramodern travel hub linking metro and high-speed rail.

"An airport with the size of a world-class hub has taken shape, which will provide a high-quality aviation service for the World Expo," an airport authority statement said.

The first flight from Hongqiao's new terminal - four times bigger than the cramped old facility - took off early Tuesday for Beijing.

Pudong Airport is Shanghai's main airport for international flights while Hongqiao is used mainly by domestic airlines.

Officials expect the vast majority of the Expo's 70-100 million visitors to come from within China.

As of now, I just dream - but hopefully, we can go to the Great Wall of China. Mcj needs to loose weight first. I wonder if he will consent to usingherbal diet supplements so we can have a hike.

Up Side Down

How would you like to live in an upside down house? Well, I’m sure nobody would except for novelty reason and only if gravity resides in the atmosphere. It would be absolutely chaotic, I believe. Keeping a normal house tidy is a feat in itself, how more labourious it is for an un-conventional dwelling.

Anyway, I’m sure nobody will take the offer as it is impossible to live in that way. The said house is just an exhibit in the Getorff, Germany.
Built inside the grounds of a zoo in Getorff, Germany, the house has an upside-down kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom.

The 23ft-tall (seven metres) home was built by carpenter Gerhard Mordhorst and his colleagues Gesellse Splettstober and Manfred Kolax.

They described the project as one of the “craziest” they’ve ever been asked to do.

Steel plates and screws were used to hold the furniture in place.

Putting the bathroom together was the trickiest part due to bulky items such as the shower.

This house will be open for public viewing so if you're in Germany, brace your personal budget software and treat everyone you know to see this unique art.

JakPak

I fancy going camping but have never tried it yet. Mcj has all sorts of stuff for camping. He even used to joint-own a camper trailer but we haven’t gotten around of actually doing it. Why? First, we seem can’t make time for it. Yeah, it’s better to drive more than a 1000 kms one way than go camping. For me, it’s just not worth all the hassles of packing, unpacking and being away from comforts. I know sooner or later we have to do it for the Little Guy.

Anyway, when I think that getting into the sleeping bag inside a small tent is un-imaginable, how am I able to cope and endure being inside the JakPak?

I suppose if I eat and breathe the outdoor life, I can tolerate it or I can even say that it’s a great invention. Light travelling is always fun if you’re hiking a hundreds of kilometers to have fun (not just experimenting diets that work).
